Volunteer Screening Process Requirements:

Preparing our students to succeed is a shared responsibility with our families and community members. We want our schools and our entire district to be a welcoming place where everyone feels included and supported. Our volunteer program provides a safe avenue for individuals and organizations to become involved with education. However, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about the volunteer screening process and that all volunteers serving in our schools MUST go through the screening process. This is important because we want to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff.

Individuals desiring to provide volunteer services must complete the following steps:

  1. A volunteer application (At a school site or District office)

  2. A background check.  Background checks are based on the specific type of volunteer service as outlined here.

  3. Once favorable results of screenings are be received by the District the person is allowed to perform the desired duties. (7-10 business days)
