The astute wisdom of the late Booker Taliaferro Washington reminds us that “Character, not circumstances, makes the man.”  The daily efforts of our family at Booker T. Washington High School strive to bring these words to fruition.

 

We welcome you to our webpage and to join in our efforts to provide what Mr. Washington described as the “education which can be gotten from contact with great men and women”.  Mr. Washington admonished us to “associate with people of good quality.”  He said, “it is better to be alone than in bad company.”

At the University of South Memphis, Booker T. Washington High School, we work tirelessly to demonstrate our motto,“We’re tops! We lead and others follow!”
